Permissions

This app may request the following permissions:

USE_BIOMETRIC READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE INTERNET POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Biometric permission is used for fingerprint/face unlock. Storage permissions are for local backup files. Internet is used only for breach checking (HIBP) and ads. All permissions can be managed through Settings > Apps > Password Manager > Permissions.

Account & Data Deletion

Password Manager: Secure Vault by SMARTWHO Inc. stores all data exclusively on your device. No data is transmitted to or stored on any external server.

How to Delete Your Data

Delete individual items: Open the app → select a card → tap Delete. Deleted items are moved to the Trash Box.
Empty the Trash Box: Open the app → Trash Box → select items → tap Remove to permanently delete.
Reset all data: Open the app → Settings → Restore Defaults. This resets all passwords, settings, and preferences.
Uninstall the app: Uninstalling the app permanently removes all data from your device.

Types of Data Stored (on device only)

Master password (encrypted with AES-256)
Password cards: titles, usernames, passwords, URLs, phone numbers, notes, and custom fields (all AES-256 encrypted)
App settings and preferences
Local backup files (AES-256 encrypted)

Data Retention Policy

All user data is stored locally on the device only. SMARTWHO Inc. does not collect, transmit, or retain any user data on external servers.

When you delete data through the app or uninstall the app, the data is permanently and immediately removed. There is no retention period.
