This Privacy Policy explains how SMARTWHO Inc. ("the Company") handles your information across all of our mobile applications. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how your data is managed.
SMARTWHO Inc. strictly complies with applicable privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, US), and other relevant regulations.
1. No Personal Data Collection
- SMARTWHO apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or contact details.
- Our apps do not require account registration or login to use their core features.
- By default, no personal information is stored on our servers, and core features operate locally on your device. One exception is an optional feature that you switch on yourself, such as the World Ranking leaderboard in Pedometer - Step Counter: while it is enabled, the data listed in that app's addendum at the end of this page is stored on our Firebase backend, and turning the feature off deletes it. Another exception is an optional feature that needs a third-party service in order to work, such as AI Photo Math in Smart Calculator, which sends the picture you choose to Google for recognition; where that happens it is described in that app's addendum at the end of this page.
- Ad-supported apps use third-party advertising and analytics SDKs that may collect device and advertising identifiers, location, and app activity, as described in the Advertising and Third-Party SDKs section below.
Advertising and Third-Party SDKs
- Ad-supported SMARTWHO apps use Google AdMob and mediation partners (Meta, Pangle, InMobi, Mintegral, Unity Ads, Vungle/Liftoff).
- These SDKs may collect and share approximate and precise location, device and advertising identifiers, and app activity and diagnostics to serve ads and measure performance.
- All data is encrypted in transit, and we do not sell your personal data.
- You can reset your Advertising ID in device settings; users in the EEA can manage ad consent within the app (Google UMP); uninstalling the app stops further data collection.
2. Google Drive Integration
How SMARTWHO Apps Use Google Drive
Certain SMARTWHO apps (such as File Manager - Cleaner & Cloud) offer an optional Google Drive integration feature. This section describes how we access, use, store, and share your Google data.
- Scope of Access: We use the
drive.filescope, which only grants access to files that you create or upload through our apps. We cannot access, view, or modify any other files in your Google Drive. - Purpose of Access: Google Drive access is used solely to:
- Upload files from your device to Google Drive
- Download files that were uploaded through our apps
- Create and manage folders within the app's scope
- Rename, move, or delete files uploaded through our apps
- Data Storage: File metadata (names, sizes, modification dates) may be cached locally on your device for performance. No Google Drive data is transmitted to or stored on any external server.
- Data Sharing: Your Google Drive data is never shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third parties, including advertising platforms, analytics providers, or data brokers.
- Data Retention: Locally cached Google Drive data is automatically cleared when you sign out of Google, disconnect the app, or uninstall the app.
- User Control: You can disconnect your Google account at any time through the app's settings. You may also revoke access via your Google Account permissions page.
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
SMARTWHO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only use Google data to provide and improve the file management features visible in the app.
- We do not use Google data for advertising, retargeting, or building user profiles.
- We do not transfer Google data to third parties except as necessary to provide the app's features, with user consent, or as required by law.
- We do not use Google data to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
- No human reads your Google data unless you provide explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.
3. OneDrive Integration
How SMARTWHO Apps Use OneDrive
Certain SMARTWHO apps (such as File Manager - Cleaner & Cloud) offer an optional Microsoft OneDrive integration feature. This section describes how we access, use, store, and share your OneDrive data.
- Scope of Access: We use the
Files.ReadWriteandUser.Readpermissions to access files and folders on your OneDrive and read basic profile information. - Purpose of Access: OneDrive access is used solely to:
- Upload files from your device to OneDrive
- Download files from OneDrive to your device
- Create, rename, move, and delete files and folders
- Display your account name and storage usage
- Authentication: Uses Microsoft's official OAuth 2.0 sign-in. Your Microsoft password is never shared with or stored by our apps.
- Data Storage: File metadata (names, sizes, modification dates) may be cached locally on your device for performance. No OneDrive data is transmitted to or stored on any external server.
- Data Sharing: Your OneDrive data is never shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third parties.
- Data Retention: Locally cached OneDrive data is automatically cleared when you sign out of your Microsoft account or uninstall the app.
- User Control: You can disconnect your Microsoft account at any time through the app. You may also revoke access via your Microsoft account privacy settings.
4. No Automatic Tracking
- Our apps do not use cookies, web beacons, advertising identifiers, or any technologies designed to automatically collect personal data.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking is performed.
5. Third-Party Services
- SMARTWHO does not share your data with external vendors, advertising networks, or data brokers.
- Our apps use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to collect anonymized usage statistics and crash reports. This data includes:
- App usage events (anonymized)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- Crash and error logs
- This anonymized data is used solely for improving app quality and diagnosing issues. It cannot be used to identify individual users.
- Advertising is served through Google AdMob. Ad-related data is managed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
- Users can manage ad personalization via their Android device's Google account or device settings (e.g., reset advertising ID, limit personalized ads).

Pedometer-specific privacy addendum
This addendum applies only to Pedometer - Step Counter. If it conflicts with a general statement elsewhere on this page, this addendum controls for this app.
com.smartwho.pedometer
- Steps, distance, calories, walk sessions, weight/BMI, water, goals and settings are stored on the device. Android automatic backup may copy the database and settings to the user’s Google account for restoration. Health Connect is optional: with separately granted permissions, the app writes steps, walking sessions and manually entered weight and reads weight records. It does not read steps or re-publish imported weight. Health Connect data is not sent to our server or used for advertising.
- World Ranking is optional and off by default. If joined, Firebase receives a random anonymous ID, chosen nickname, step totals and a derived score for public daily, weekly and monthly leaderboards. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics process app interactions, device information, diagnostics and crash reports. Google AdMob and mediation partners may process advertising/device identifiers, approximate location, app activity and diagnostics according to consent and device settings. SMARTWHO does not sell this data.
- Users can delete local records, leave World Ranking, revoke individual Health Connect permissions, manage Android backup, or clear/uninstall the app. Leaving the ranking deletes its server entry and retries later if offline. Deleting all records also requests deletion of Health Connect records written by this app; records from other apps are not deleted. Health information is for personal tracking, not medical advice or diagnosis.

Pedometer data deletion
com.smartwho.pedometer
Pedometer - Step Counter creates no account, so there is nothing to close before deleting. Step records live on the device; only World Ranking keeps anything on our servers.
- Open the app, go to Settings and find the Data section.
- Optional: tap Export records to a file first if you want to keep a copy of your records as a file.
- Tap Delete all step records and confirm. Saved days, hourly totals, walking sessions, weight, water and archived totals are removed from the device.
The same action asks Health Connect to delete the steps and walking sessions this app wrote there. Records written by other apps are never touched. You can also turn Share with Health Connect off in Settings, or revoke the permissions in the Health Connect app.
World Ranking is deleted separately. Open the Ranking screen and tap Leave the ranking. Your ranking entry, nickname and score are removed from our Firebase server, and your step records stay on the device.
If the device is offline when you leave the ranking, the app remembers the pending withdrawal and finishes deleting the server entry the next time it starts with a connection.
Uninstalling the app removes the local database and settings from the device, but it does not delete a ranking entry. Leave the ranking first if you have joined it.
If the app is already uninstalled, email privacy@smartwho.net with the nickname you used in World Ranking and we will delete the matching server entries. Deletion requests are answered within 30 days.
Keycap ASMR-specific privacy addendum
This addendum applies only to Keycap ASMR. If it conflicts with a general statement elsewhere on this page, this addendum controls for this app.
com.smartwho.keycapasmr
- Core play, favorites, custom keycaps, Sound Match answers and practice Caps stay on this device. No microphone, contacts, location, health or activity permission is requested. Crash and ANR diagnostics are sent through Firebase Crashlytics; custom keys never include legends, rhythm content, file paths or other user content.
- No sign-in required. World Ranking is optional and off by default. If you join, Firebase receives a random anonymous authentication ID, the nickname you choose, your weekly tap total and your best game scores for public leaderboards. Turning ranking off requests deletion of those server entries and retries later after an offline failure.
- Firebase Analytics processes app interactions and device information. Firebase Crashlytics processes crash, ANR and device diagnostics. Google AdMob may process advertising or device identifiers, approximate location, app activity and diagnostics according to consent and device settings. SMARTWHO does not sell this data.
- Android backup may copy selected settings, keycaps, favorites, game records, session totals and tap statistics to the user’s Google account for restoration. Ranking authentication IDs and ranking caches are excluded from backup.
- In Settings, under Privacy & data, the Delete all local data button asks to confirm first. This permanently removes saved keycaps, favorites, recent items, local creations, game records, settings and cached exports from this device.

Keycap ASMR data deletion
com.smartwho.keycapasmr
Keycap ASMR creates no account, so there is nothing to close before deleting. These steps erase what the app stores on the device and what World Ranking holds on our servers.
- Open the app, go to Settings and find the Privacy & data section.
- Optional: tap Export local data first if you want to keep a copy of your keycaps and records.
- Tap Delete all local data and confirm. This permanently removes saved keycaps, favorites, recent items, local creations, game records, settings and cached exports from this device.
The same action leaves World Ranking and asks our Firebase servers to delete your ranking entry, nickname, weekly tap total, best scores and any creation you shared. Turning World Ranking off by itself also requests that deletion.
If the device is offline, local data is erased right away and the server deletion is retried automatically the next time the app starts with a connection.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics keep pseudonymous diagnostics that are not linked to your ranking name.
If the app is already uninstalled, email privacy@smartwho.net with the nickname you used in World Ranking and we will delete the matching server entries. Deletion requests are answered within 30 days.
Smart Calculator-specific privacy addendum
This addendum applies only to Smart Calculator. If it conflicts with a general statement elsewhere on this page, this addendum controls for this app.
com.james.SmartCalculator
- Smart Calculator includes an optional feature called AI Photo Math. You photograph a maths problem, or pick a picture from your gallery, and the app reads the expression and solves it. Nothing described here happens unless you open that feature and take or choose a picture. Every other calculator in the app works entirely on this device.
- Recognition is attempted on your device first, using Google ML Kit Text Recognition bundled into the app, which works offline. When that succeeds, your picture never leaves your device.
- If on-device reading fails, or if you ask for AI recognition, the picture is sent to Google’s Gemini API (model
gemini-2.5-flash-lite) through Firebase AI Logic so the expression can be recognised and solved. The image is reduced to at most 1024 pixels on its longest side before sending, and is accompanied by a short prompt containing the text that on-device recognition read from your picture and your app language, so the answer returns in your language. If you instead correct the expression by hand and ask for a solution, only that text is sent and no image is sent. Google acts as the provider of that API and processes the request under Google’s own privacy policy and API terms. SMARTWHO operates no server for this feature and never receives, stores or has access to your pictures. - We never send your name, email address, contacts, precise location, your photo library, or any file other than the single picture you chose for that recognition. Results are not tied to an account, because the app has no sign-in. Please photograph only the problem itself: anything else visible in the frame is sent with it.
- Your last 10 recognitions (the expression, the result, a confidence value and the time), a result cache of up to 50 entries so the same picture is not sent twice, and a daily usage counter stay on this device. The photo you captured, and a shared result image if you shared one, are written to the app’s own folder
Android/data/com.james.SmartCalculator/files/AiVision. The captured photo is deleted as soon as you leave the AI Photo Math screen, and a shared result image is deleted the next time you open it. History and cache remain until newer entries push them out, or until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. - The recognition history and the AI Photo Math image folder are excluded from Android’s automatic backup, so they are not copied to your Google account. Firebase Analytics receives anonymous events about how the feature performed — whether recognition ran on this device or through Gemini, a confidence band, and error types — and Firebase Crashlytics receives crash, ANR and device diagnostics. Neither ever contains your picture or the recognised expression.
- If a result looks wrong or inappropriate you can report it from the menu. Choosing a reason opens your own email app with a prepared message containing the reason, the recognised expression, the result, the confidence value and the app version. No image is attached, and nothing is sent until you send that email yourself.
